Fast, shortened games, featuring entertainment and music where cheering and continuous crowd support is encouraged, makes this a vibrant form of tennis. Dunlop recently sponsored a WTT tournament, organised by the Atlantic Tennis Academy in Cape Town. WTT was born in the US in 1975 by Billie Jean King and now boasts The Advanta WTT Pro League, which is entering its 34th season. This unique gender-equity team concept has been a highlight of the annual US tennis calendar and boasts some of the most exciting players and personalities from the past and present including the likes of Martina Navratilova, Robert Kendrick, John McEnroe, Maria Sharapova, Andre Agassi, Anna Kournikova, Michael Chang, Kim Clijsters and the Williams sisters.
